I know what you mean. I remember hearing this song and loving it.
I don't know what kind of genre it would be considered as. The rhythm is like a bossa nova and has a spanish/latin feel to it. I would try those sort of genres.
One guy I love at the moment who is sort of considered a gypsy jazz guitarist is Gonzalo Bergara. He's from Argentina and, although he does a lot of gypsy jazz stuff, he does a lot of latin style things in there and is a real talent. If you like Pan Man, I think you might like these:
