Songs like Pan Man...?

Postby donlin on Fri Nov 06, 2009 6:15 pm

I am in love with this song and am wondering if someone could help me out in finding more music in the style of Pan Man... and is there a specific sub-genre to this style?

Thanks a ton,
D

I know what you mean. I remember hearing this song and loving it.

I don't know what kind of genre it would be considered as. The rhythm is like a bossa nova and has a spanish/latin feel to it. I would try those sort of genres.

One guy I love at the moment who is sort of considered a gypsy jazz guitarist is Gonzalo Bergara. He's from Argentina and, although he does a lot of gypsy jazz stuff, he does a lot of latin style things in there and is a real talent. If you like Pan Man, I think you might like these:

The studio versions don't have saxaphone in them. I just can't get enough of him right now. You might like this too:

He mainly plays his own stuff, and it's great to here real fresh music being played out there. Sounds great!

Hope this helps!
