NEW PROCEDURE FOR MEETING TOMMY AT A SHOW

Hello all, it's Gina Mendello, Tommy's manager.

Tommy will no longer meet people after his shows. He will meet people before his shows. There will be a different procedure for each show so it is important to write to me accordingly.

SUBJECT HEADING - CITY, VENUE, AND DATE OF SHOW YOU ARE ATTENDING (THIS IS IMPORTANT)

Example: Knoxville, Tennessee Theater, January 31, 2009

I don't really need to know the whole story of why you want to meet Tommy. You don't need to plead your case. You can bring your guitar but you cannot store it at the venue afterwards. You can play a song for him. You can bring your camera, he will sign things.

I will need only your name, and how many people you have with you. This number can not change.

What will happen is closer to the date of the show you will receive the time of the meeting and the location. It will be around an hour before showtime. Do not contact the venue about meeting Tommy. They will not know anything. If you are in the USA, Australia, or Asia, you'll be looking for me, and if you're in Europe, you'll be looking for Tommy's European tour manager Arvid Enge.

Hi Gina.
I'm guessing that you will get quite a few requests to meet Tommy so I'm wondering if you have a preferred lead time relative to each show. I don't get to see Tommy until late June 2009 and while I don't mind putting my name down early I wasn't sure if you wanted it in amongst the other 3000 names that will probably get to meet Tommy before me.
Is there a time frame you are thinking of? eg: my concert is June 20 2009 so put my name down say around a month prior?

You can send your notice up to the day of the show, however if there have been too many requests I may have to take only the first comers.

The message came a couple of days too late for me....

I went to Australia for three weeks on the 8th of Nov and had deliberately cut the trip short so I could get back to see Tommy at Newcastle on the 29th. It was only when I arrived at the gig that I found out.. I had had four aftershow places "booked" for months so i could take my wife and friends to meet him.

I'm gonna make sure I book a place for next time...guitar in hand!!!!

I would love to meet tommy please... To sign a few things and a couple of photos as well would be good and to ask him what his favourite ice cream is lol nah but seriously, it would be nice to see the man. I will be at the hamilton concert in new zealand and I emailed someone(not sure who lol) and they said something about finding you at the merch table(what ever that is) lol so if you could let me know what to do then that would be great thank you very much

You need to email Gina at manager@tommyemmanuel.com with your request. The 'merch' table is the table in the hall where Tommy's CDs, DVDs, etc. are being sold.
